At Temple Grandin School, we know that life doesn’t always go according to plan. Our students are learning to recognize when they’re getting into a fixed mindset and find ways to be more flexible and keep moving forward.
Our 2026 Shuffle theme – Go with the Flow – is a reminder that there’s often more than one way to approach a challenge. This year’s event brings that idea to life with a multi-lap 5k-ish route where participants can quite literally Go with the Flow, one step at a time.
Why do we Shuffle? The Shuffle helps give TGS students the experiences, support, and opportunities they need to grow into confident young adults. Your support provides scholarships and financial aid, helps TGS recruit and retain exceptional teachers, and creates hands-on learning opportunities from science labs and field trips to real-world experiences that prepare students for what comes next.

Monthly giving creates a steady flow of support throughout the year, helping TGS plan ahead, respond to changing needs, and continue creating opportunities for our students to thrive. Instead of one big splash, your ongoing gift keeps the momentum going.
You can make a difference by giving, joining the Shuffle, or spreading the word. Support a student, staff member, family member, or board member in reaching their fundraising goal. Invite friends and family to donate or participate (especially those who love a good 5K). Share the Shuffle with your network and help us bring even more people into the TGS community.

The TGS Annual Fund is the foundation of the fundraising program at Temple Grandin School. Unrestricted support to the school through the TGS Annual Fund allows us the flexibility to support our students in ways that directly fulfill the vision, mission and values of our organization. Annual fund contributions support the following expenditures that will help us continue to provide our specialized socio-academic program:
- Bonuses and professional development to retain a high-quality teaching staff
- Scholarships to ensure that a TGS education is accessible to families of varying income levels
- Furnishings to create a sensory-friendly learning environment for our students
- Technology to support innovative teaching methods to reach all students and prepare them for 21st century careers
The TGS Annual Fund helps make up the difference between the actual cost of providing a TGS education and the tuition paid by families. Many of our families have already spent tens of thousands of dollars providing early intervention and ongoing therapies for their children, and struggle to afford TGS tuition. Tuition currently covers only 75% of the cost of a TGS education. Your gift to the TGS Annual Fund helps close this gap.
